Noted journalist to speak at Bloomsburg University

BLOOMSBURG–Soledad O’Brien of CNN is bringing the acclaimed documentary series ‘Black in America’ to Bloomsburg University. O’Brien brings together academics, experts, students and community members to share their personal stories about being black in America.   O’Brien says the series, which will stop at eight college campuses this month, is “about Americans talking about the uncomfortable issue of race and about opening the floor to new perspectives.”   The discussion panel will include former NAACP president Benjamin Jealous and author and economist Julianne Maleaux.   The even will be held at the Haas Center for the Arts in Mitrani Hall on Thursday February 12 at 6pm.
